Myopia Control Spectacles

More children are getting myopia at a younger age.  The younger a child develops myopia, the further it can evolve and the higher it can become.

Stellest lenses are innovative spectacle lenses from Essilor designed to slow down myopia progression in children.  The lenses correct myopia giving your child vision as sharp as with single vision lenses and at the same time the lenses slow down myopia progression by 67% on average compared to single vision lenses, when worn 12 hours a day, every day.*

The lens is made of a constellation of 1021 lenslets.  The unique constellation of lenslets creates an extra defocus signal for the eye that controls the eye growth.  This signal helps to slow down the eye elongation and therefore myopia progression.

Results vary for each individual child, but most experts maintain that myopia management is the best available option for children with myopia. There is a small possibility however that the myopia will continue to progress at the same rate as it would have done without wearing myopia control spectacles.
