Contact Lenses

We aim to offer the best lenses for the patient's vision requirements and the health of their eyes. We, therefore, fit an extensive range of contact lenses including specialist lenses.

The fit of your contact lens is extremely important and in order to provide you with the best possible chance of success in contact lens wear, our optometrists will screen your cornea with a corneal topographer as part of the contact lens consultation and follow-up visits.

Most people have regularly-shaped corneas but often there may be distortions on the corneas that can affect vision. The corneal topographer takes a 3D map of the curvature of the cornea through digital technology and measures the position and height of several thousand points across the entire cornea which is critical for determining the quality of vision. The measurements taken are far more precise then obtained by a manual keratometer that optometrists traditionally use.

Our experienced optometrists keep up-to-date with the latest technology and training in contact lenses to ensure that our patients have the best advice possible. As an Acuvue Centre of Excellence for Contact Lenses we also receive up-to-date training on all new Acuvue products by Johnson & Johnson.
